Replacing Captains View with the new Dashboard module

It's time to say good bye to Captains View and HELLO to the new Dashboard Module.

WATS Version 4.2 (release 2013.3) no longer support the WATS Captains View reporting tool and are replaced by the Dashboard module.

The module allow you to easily create custom dashboards with refresh capabilities and custom filters. The new data-warehouse within WATS now updates every hour and can provide "on the hour" fresh calculations of Yield, CPK etc. The data warehouse pre-aggregates measurements down to a 1 hour resolution (meaning that if you test 100 UUTs within one hour, all measurements will be aggregated into a few calculated values). This allow increased loading speed and presentation of "hundreds of thousands of units" within seconds.

Dashboard

In the Public Dashboards area, 3 predefined dashboards are listed (WATS UP - last 24 hours, - last 7 days, - last 30 days).

The default view is similar to Captains View with high volume overview including CPK on top, Worst yield bottom left and top repairs bottom right.

Yield KPI Targets are highlighted:
Red = Alarm
Orange = Warning
Green = Good
(To edit the KPI Targets, browse to Control Panel>Configure/settings>KPI Targets)

CPK colors:
Red = CPK below 1.32
Green = CPK between 1.33 and 4
Blue = CPK above 4

By clicking one of the CPK values, it will automatically open the Process Capability Analysis report and highlight the selected step. You can also click on the menu icon in the top left corner and select “open as report” for full filter options.

The step list shows CPK calculations with and without failures, step yield, total (test) count, mean value, standard deviation, low limit and high limit.
The left margin gives 2 “View Details” options:

  1. Unit View. Presents data from the relation database equal to the detail report view in the Test Step Yield & Analysis report. Can plot every single measurement and drill down on serial numbers (not available if number of units exceed 10K)
  2. Aggregated View. Presents data from the data warehouse. More usable when large data sets. No serial number details.

The aggregated view shows a zoom able chart where you can select grouping method and different calculation options. It will also list SPC calculations below the chart.

Further, it will list distribution charts for SW filename and version, Revision and Station Name.
