Attach file to WATS (WATS_AttachFile)

Use this step to upload and attach a file (any type) to the UUT report in WATS. Add the full file path to the “Step.FilePath” property. The step can be used with any adapter allowing you to output the file path from a code module or with the “None” adapter using expressions.
If the “Delete file after processing” is checked (Edit settings…), the original file will be deleted after imported into the WATS report.

Are there other ways to attach a file to a UUT report outside of TestStand ? Either the LAbVIEW Toolkit or better still some drop converter solution

Could I do this by writing my own custom client converter ?

    Danny,

This is currently available from the WATS Client API (custom converter) and TestStand.

    Tom,

When I attach a file using this Custom Step Type, what happens to the file.

Where can I see or download this file within UUT Reporting ?

    Jean-Louis,

The file will be available in the UUT report as a step with a download link. You can also download a batch of attached files using the export wizard.

I was able to download the attached file through the export wizard.

But I don't see the download link on UUT report :

Try to switch to the "printable version" by clicking on the link in the header.
One question: is this your default layout or have you actively changed the UUT report layout in My Settings?

When switching to "printable version" the download link appears.

Is it a wanted behavior ?

We don't remember changing this UUT report option.

I put it back to "Standard version" and now the display is correct.

ok, good. Next WATS version will have a brand new report layout so this will not be an issue after next upgrade.
